Mobile number porting explained

Following our guide to changing mobile network, we’ve written up a total walkthrough for porting your mobile number to a new network. This is a step-by-step guide to bringing your precious mobile number with you when you change providers.

We also added a simple explanation of what a PAC code is as well as a comprehensive FAQ about PAC codes. Not only that, but there’s now a great guide that explains how to get a PAC code from any mobile operator and even a sample PAC request letter for networks that make it difficult yo get your PAC prior to porting your number.

If you find these useful, please feel free to share them via the social network links at the bottom of each article and also please leave us your comments too.

ASDA Mobile reviewed

Another review has been added! This time it’s the cut-price virtual network ASDA Mobile. They offer 8p calls and 4p on PAYG and in our ASDA Mobile review, we concluded that “they are easily one of the cheapest networks in the UK and thousands of people who were on one of the main providers before are learning that they can save £100s every year simply by switching”.
