Bemilo is a virtual network that use the infrastructure of the Vodafone network to provide a service. To find out about their signal strength in your region, check out the Bemilo coverage map.
More info
Bemilo is specially designed for children and allows parents to supervise their usage. The business-model is somewhat creepy and it is massively overpriced compared to the alternatives but worrywarts will undoubtedly claim that the price is worth paying for their children’s security. The signal provided by Bemilo is fine as they run on Vodafone but the privacy concerns, lack of features and exorbitant expense make it seem a poor option.
For more information, compare Bemilo’s coverage with other networks’ mobile coverage. We have already profiled the network but keep an eye out for our our complete Bemilo review.
I bought into this service for a year only to find that the network coverage for my area though quoted as ok for outside is in fact extremely unreliable with ‘no network coverage’ reported many times during the day.
I have contacted bemilo customer services on 6 occasions to be told they would ring me back.

ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED
Actually i find the costs reasonable, BUT, I am finding the are having major difficulties with the software. It take ages for a phone to find the network. Then registered numbers must be in exactly the same format across all phones as it is on the website. Then half the time we are finding the system disallows incoming and outgoing calls despite our setting being correct. This is not on when the main purpose of your child having a phone is security. Am considering leaving them am going to IKEA Family Mobile
Thanks for your comment!
Can I ask the selling points of Bemilo for you? Which specific features do you want from them. And how much do you spend a month roughly?
What do you mean by “in the same format”? The difference between +447 and 07? And why would Family Mobile be your next choice?
I get fine signal near Oxford but you’re right – it’s much too expensive for what it is. I’m thinking of getting my kids onto Ovivo because then I can see an itemised bill for their usage. What do you reckon?
