Coverage map

Lebara Mobile is a virtual network that started operating the UK in 2007. Like many virtual networks, it runs on the Vodafone network. You can check the Lebara Mobile coverage map to see what the signal is like throughout the UK – using this you can find out about the signal strength in your local area.

More info

Lebara is a heavily-marketed mobile network that specialises in the ethnic market. Despite only running in the UK since 2007, it has started strongly thanks to a seemingly-infinite advertising budget and some high-profile awards. The regular prices are cheap but the best value can be had from some of its international calling deals.

As for coverage, there’s nothing to complain about. Vodafone has solid coverage around almost all of the country and the 3G data speeds are perfectly acceptable – you should have any problems getting a good signal on your phone. However, as ever, it’s always best to check the coverage map above first to be completely sure.

I bought a preloaded lebara SIM in Amsterdam October 8 2017. So far
I have had no network. I have tried it in my Samsung Duo , my iPhone 4s
and a simple Doro phone. I would have tried it in my iPad cellular but
It cannot fit ( no nano size) . From what I have read here it seems to work only on
Vodaphone network phones. I paid €20 and was supposed to have
€15 of preloaded ( certainly prepaid) credit. Have I been conned?

It should work on any unlocked handset. And you can cut it to nano size to try in your iPad.

But we would never recommend Lebara when there are so many superior alternatives…
