3 Coverage
Summary
Coverage map
3 is a mobile network that is known for having a broad and high quality data network. It was originally renowned for offering the best 3G signal in the UK as well as the fastest and most reliable data connection and has continued that reputation after the roll out of 4G.
We have a 3 coverage map that will help you discover the actual signal strength in your local area.
4G

More info
3 is one of the UK’s newest mobile phone networks. It first launched back in 2003 and specialised in 3G mobile internet in the same way that EE specialises in 4G today. They are well-known for having excellent mobile internet coverage throughout the country compared to their rival networks and, in fact, Ofcom has repeatedly rewarded them for the speed and quality of their network. They are currently one of the highest-rated networks in the UK and have about 3.5 million customers in the UK. A big plus point of 3 is the fact that they offer unlimited mobile data on many of their plans.

I am from Cornwall I phoned Obama at the white house he said my god you sound as clear as a bell you must be on three i Saïd no Vodafone then my trousers fell down so i put the president on speaker phone and blew off.
iam polish Dr of mobile in england its very crap all networks
How is this affected with the impending take over of o2 by Three? I’m assuming Three would also be taking the infrastructure over as well and thusly increasing coverage?
We would have expected so too but there’s been no official word yet as the agreement is still being finalised.
Using 4G in London and 10/10 for coverage and speeds all arounds – upload, download and ping all ballistic. Now I am really worried if it will stay like that but have really been enjoying it immensely so far.
What sort of figures are you seeing?
I’ve been using three for over 4 years and for the past 1 year I’ve noticed the coverage for 4G hasn’t improved even though governments have said it is mandatory for all provides to increase coverage ar pound London, I haven’t seen a change at all from them. My phone doesn’t seem to like the three network as it randomly needs to be rebooted as I get kicked off the three network and have to re able the lease. Honestly all these network providers are as bad as each other. One reason why I haven’t changed providers is because there are none with unlimited data so yeah this is the only reason why I use them. But just to confirm the coverage indoors around London is absolutely diabolical. Rant over thank you
That link to the 3 coverage map just looks to be a bunch of corporate spyware. It looks like the link should probably point to http://www.three.co.uk/Support/Coverage
Not sure what you mean by that – the link is correct and there’s certainly no spyware. It leads to the official Three site. Try it yourself.
Excuse me, I am very old school and not very techno savvy! How much difference is there between the coverage for phone call and the coverage for internet when it comes to three mobile?
The coverage for fast internet is the 3G coverage percentage (93%) while just normal calls/texts coverage is 2G coverage (99%). For more information on your area, check out the coverage map.
I checked it on mobilecoverage.net – is this the same as yours?
If you use the link we provided you’ll get 3’s official coverage checker which is the most accurate and up-to-date.
the information is inaccurate as three only works on 2100mhz 3g and ony owns a 3g network. it is also ending its 2g agreements bit by bit meaning even less coverage.
These are the official values we’ve been provided based on population coverage. Do you have a more accurate source you could refer us to?
