Installing ParanoidAndroid 4.41 on the Samsung Galaxy SIII

We’ve got the quickest and easiest method to set up the new ParanoidAndroid 4.41 customs ROM running Android KitKat 4.4.4. This tutorial will quickly and easily walk you through installing a custom ROM on the Samsung Galaxy SIII and getting the newest stable release of ParanoidAndroid on your phone.

Before we start though, a disclaimer: by flashing custom software or using your phone with root access, you may be voiding your warranty. We take no responsibility if your phone is damaged or bricked by following these instructions.

Before you being, you need to ensure that your Samsung Galaxy SIII is rooted and that you’ve installed a working custom recovery such as TWRP. The following videos will sort you out with everything you need to get set up:

Once your phone is rooted and you’ve verified the custom recovery works fine, the first step is to download the ParanoidAndroid ROM zip file and don’t forget to get the Google apps zip too. The version of ParanoidAndroid we used is 4.41 which is a stable release. Make sure the gapps is compatible with your version if you go for a different one. Make sure both files are on your phone and then you’re ready for the next step.

Now we need to reboot into recovery. Simply hold down the Volume Up key, Home key and Power Key for a few seconds until you see the Samsung Galaxy SIII i9300 logo and then you’ll boot into TWRP recovery. From there, you’re able to backup your current ROM before starting the insttall of ParanoidAndroid.

Next, go to the Wipe menu, and run a factory reset which will be very quick. Then you need to go back to the recovery main menu and select “Install”. Here you can add the ParanoidAndroid zip that you downloaded earlier and also the Google Apps zip before starting the flashing process. It will take a few minutes but then you can choose reboot system to get started with your fresh install of ParanoidAndroid.
